My career path as a bookkeeper and small business consultant started back when I was a child. My father was the ultimate entrepreneur. He had a million great ideas and was always bursting to try something new. The only problem was that he lacked the knowledge of how to run a business. His concept was good, but he had no backup besides himself.

It was watching this struggle that made me decide that I wanted to be a resource to business owners so that they wouldn't have to take the same hard road my father did.

Most small business owners try and do it all themselves. This can happen for a number of reasons: limited income, unawareness that outside assistance is necessary, or the "I can do it all" mentality. The aim of my company is to bring awareness to business owners that it takes a team to run a successful business. Very few business will make it past the first five to ten years because of the lack of support.

One question I ask all potential clients is "Do you want your business to run you or do you want to run your business?" If the answer is that you want to run your business then I can guarantee you will need more than just the resources you have at hand to make it happen.
